Client Types
We welcome the opportunity to manage assets for a wide range of clients.
Investment management services are provided for:
- private clients - including personal equity plans (PEPs) and individual savings accounts (ISAs)
- trustees
- private offices
- charities
- pension funds - including self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs), smaller self-administered schemes (SASSs) and occupational schemes
- offshore structures
- professional intermediaries
Private clients
A large proportion of portfolios that we manage are on behalf of private clients and trusts. Many of our clients seek to preserve their wealth in real terms and others are looking to generate income. Both approaches require a conservative and considered approach. Others, often younger clients, are looking to create wealth and are prepared to take greater risk to achieve this.
Charities
We have a growing number of charitable organisations as clients. These vary from larger well-known charities to smaller private charitable trusts. Most charities invest for the long term and use their funds to provide income to fund projects and good causes.
Pensions
We have an increasing number of pension clients ranging from self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs) for individuals, to smaller self-administered schemes (SSASs) and smaller institutional occupational schemes.
The Investment Team is familiar with various different types of pension scheme and their associated requirements at each stage in their development. Our investment process is expressly designed to accommodate the life cycle of such schemes. Following ‘A’ day and the recent governmental changes to pension legislation and regulation we are experiencing particularly strong demand from individuals who wish to have their personal pension assets managed alongside other personal wealth. After residential property, a pension is often a client's next largest asset.
